[WATCH / DOWNLOAD] 2011 – The Year of Dance Music
I don’t have to tell you that electro dance music, EDM, took over in 2011. After being THE scene over in Europe for forever, it finally hit mainstream US and took it by storm. For those of you following FITA since the start, I know you noticed the progression as the year went on. From iTunes to radio stations, to the ridiculousness that were music festivals, this was one hell of a musical year. What we have here is a video recap of some of those purely intoxicating, energizing, awe inspiring moments that were possible solely thanks to this new, rapidly emerging music scene. Better watch it in 1080! Be sure to download the track below too; it’s literally 7 minutes in heaven. Makes you wonder… what will 2012 bring?

[NEWS] World AIDS Day 2011: Getting To Zero
Dec. 1 is World AIDS Day, a day dedicated to bring awareness to those who have died from the disease and strides made in the fight against it.
By Elizabeth McSpiritt, MD, MPH
On the first of December, World AIDS Day is celebrated. This day is an opportunity for people to unite in the fight against HIV/AIDS, to remember those who have died of the disease and to celebrate accomplishments, such as increased access to treatment and prevention services.
Today, despite advances in HIV treatment and in laws designed to protect those living with HIV; many people do not know the facts about how to protect themselves and others from HIV or about the stigma and discrimination that remain a reality for many people living with HIV. World AIDS Day is an important reminder to individuals and governments that HIV has not gone away – there is still a vital need to raise money, increase awareness, fight prejudice and improve education.
[MUSIC NEWS] The Grammy Nominations Concert Live 2011 (November 30th 10/9c)
Last year’s program drew just 5 million total viewers, down 20% compared with the previous year’s telecast, according to Nielsen. The show clung to barely half the viewership from its lead-in, a repeat of the drama “Criminal Minds.” The Grammy noms telecast has dropped significantly in each of its three airings since it started in 2008.
This year’s show will again be hosted by LL Cool J and it features performances by Lady Gaga, Usher, Ludacris, Rihanna and Sugarland.
