FASHION/GOSSIP: John Galliano Fired From Dior For Anti-Semitic Rant
Famed designer, John Galliano (50) has been fired from Dior following a video that has surfaced of him very intoxicated and on a very disturbing anti-Semitic rant. “People like you would be dead. Your mothers, your forefathers, would all be f****** gassed,” he says to the women at the table.
The incident took place at a Paris bar last week where he verbally attacked two women (who weren’t Jewish) and led to him being arrested and suspended by Christian Dior.
Acadamy Award winner, Natalie Portman who is Jewish, was supposed to wear one of his dresses for the Oscars, but when she saw the video, she released the following statement:
“In light of this video, and as an individual who is proud to be Jewish, I will not be associated with Mr Galliano in any way. I hope at the very least, these terrible comments remind us to reflect and act upon combating these still-existing prejudices that are the opposite of all that is beautiful.”
MUSIC/MOVIES/GOSSIP: Rihanna To Star In ‘The Bodyguard’ Remake?
Rihanna is allegedly being lined-up to replace Whitney Houston in a remake of the 1992 smash hit movie, ‘The Bodyguard.’
RiRi’s name has been thrown into the mix of taking the lead role in the flick, which could mean the Barbadian beauty belting out the monster tune, “I Will Always Love You.”
Movie bosses are said to be looking for a new Whitney in a more modern take on the classic film, where the leading lady will be stalked by an obsessive fan via Twitter, Google Maps and TMZ.
As well as Rihanna, the likes of Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift have also been mentioned to star as the female lead.
Houston’s original bodyguard, played by Kevin Costner, is expected to be replaced by a former Iraq war veteran, who lands the role after returning from action.

Simon Cowell reportedly wants to follow Britney Spears by using dubstep elements on the Leona Lewis album.
According to The Sun’s Bizarre column; Simon Cowell has instructed his A&R team at Syco to seek out dubstep production for Leona Lewis‘ third album. According to the paper Cowell isn’t interested in another Bleeding Love, “Simon Cowell’s Syco team have asked songwriters to hand them dubstep and dance tracks with traditional lyrics for the X Factor winner. And they’ve specifically stated no ballads. It’s a big change for her.” said a source.
